Thanks Daniel! Your comments and information were very helpful!
Daniel Löfström Jul 21, 2014:
I'll think about it.

The weird thing is the use of the word "skrotkörning", which makes it seem almost like an intended mode of operation. On the other hand, technically, it is clearly a protective mechanism, rendering the machine unusable, until the broken bolts have been replaced, so clearly "skrotkörning" ought to be unintended by the user.
Charlesp (asker) Jul 21, 2014:
yes, seems to But it isn't all that clear. And even if I know what it means, which I generally do, I can't find an appropriate term in English to express it.
Post one!
Daniel Löfström Jul 21, 2014:
Okay. That seems to indicate a security mechanism, to protect the chipper from damages, should hard foreign (metallic) objects enter the machine.
Charlesp (asker) Jul 21, 2014:
another sentence (but it's a long one) Den ena svängbart lagrad, den andra med brytbultar vilka deformeras och brister vid skrotkörning vilket medför att motstålshyllan faller undan och minskar skadorna på rotor, motstål och huggstomme
Daniel Löfström Jul 21, 2014:
Give some more context. A few sentences might make it clearer.
Charlesp (asker) Jul 21, 2014:
perhaps is means... operating the chipper machine by feeding it scrap rather than solid parts of trees.
Daniel Löfström Jul 21, 2014:
Skotkörning? Maybe skotkörning/skotning is the intended term?
