: Two possibilities come to mind: 1) XXX is entitled to full compensation by YYY 2) XXX is only entitled to compensation by YYY (because XXX is a distributor, and there is nobody else it can go against)

XXX is responsible- last part,- so XXX is entitled to full compensation, as YYY had to ensure goods that are "saine" and "sans risques aux consommatuer." XXX is the distributer, so cannot be held responsible by clients/shopkeepers etc., a binding clause
