I have yet to see a Dutch person (and I mean a real Dutch person) who can produce a decent English translation of a Dutch text (without relying heavily on a proofreader). And yet look how many Dutch people there are in our industry who happily claim to be able to translate both ways.
And then compare this with the amount of Brits or Americans you know who translate from English into Dutch.

I still think that it's probably the ‘weighing alcove’ in the following two screenshots though:

and this one:
‘a. Existing E/T room, (adjacent to existing XRay room) is to remain.

de 'transportwagen' moet buiten de nis blijven.
Technische Maatregelen: Afwegen grondstoffen in weegcabine
sounds like 'manual work'

Would never have expected this.
See for 'transportwagen':

The text says ‘De transportwagen blijft te allen tijde buiten de weegnis’. That is, the truck must not drive into/onto the weegnis. However, I assume that it must therefore be possible for it to do so. That's why I wrote: hebbes! a truck can drive into an ‘alcove’
If it couldn't, there would be no need to say ‘De transportwagen blijft te allen tijde buiten de weegnis’.
So … we are looking for a place/location/thing that a truck could drive into/onto, but doesn't/shouldn't.
Therefore, Phil's suggested ‘weighing compartment’ wouldn't work, because a truck could not drive into it.
Dictionary of Building and Civil Engineering: EN/DE/FR/NL/RU, S.N. Korchomkin et al. (Kluwer, 1985):
weegbak; weegtrechter = weigh-hopper
weegapparaat = weighing apparatus; weighing machine
weegautomaat = automatic weighing machine
weegbrug = weighbridge; weigh-bridge; weighing bridge
weegbunker = weighing hopper; scale hopper; larry
weeghuisje = weeghuisje
weegplateau = weighing platform
weegbascule = platform scale
weegmachine = weighing machine
weegtafel = weighing table
weegtrog = weighing trough
weegwagen = hopper scale car
weegwerktuig = weighing machine; weighing instrument
@Phil: a nis is a recess, but yeah, without a picture it's hard to visualise. so maybe recess, trough, compartment...
the word ‘weegnis’ definitely isn't common, as I can't find any traces of it online.
I think I'd go with ‘weighing trough’, as trough is the closest to a nis of the various options and a commonly used term in this kind of context. hmm, having said that, can a truck enter a ‘weighing trough’? (see: ‘De transportwagen blijft te allen tijde buiten de weegnis.)
can't quite tell what the ‘weighing trough’ actually is in the photos, but I suspect a truck can't drive into one ;)

It's a bit hard to know exactly what this refers to without a picture, but "weighing compartment", perhaps? I assume it's something different to the "weegkabine".
