English term

realized treatment period

English to Spanish Medical Medical (general) oncología
En un estudio denominado: "Phase II Multicenter Study of Bendamustine Plus Rituximab in Patients With Relapsed Indolent B-Cell and Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma":

"Relative dose-intensity is a measure of the amount of drug received in an actual treatment period, expressed as a percentage of the amount of drug planned for the **realized treatment period**

another hard one Looking for your phrase online, I find it only in a few references from this article that you're translating. I think that in this sentence, the authors are using the word "realize" in one of its possible -- but not common -- English usages: "to bring (a plan, ambition, etc.) to fruition; make actual or concrete." In other words, it means here what the Spanish "realizar" usually means ... to carry out or perform something. So as I understand it, they're saying that this relative dose-intensity measurement shows the amount of drug received as a percentage of the amount of drug that was planned/scheduled to be given during this period in which the patient did actually receive treatment (the period in which the treatment was really given/administered).

I can't see that "realized" here could be translated as "verificado" or "corroborado" but something with "realizado" sounds like a good possibility to me.

Let's see what our colleagues think.

período de tratamiento concreto/comprendido/determinado/

Se me ocurren estas tres opciones... además de "realizado durante el período de tratamiento"

periodo de tratamiento terminado

"expressed as a percentage of the amount of drug planned for the **realized treatment period**"

expresado como porcentaje de la cantidad [total] de medicamento planificada para el periodo de tratamiento [ya] terminado.

Así lo he entendido yo. Un porcentaje es una cantidad sobre el total.
