English to Spanish Medical Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) Use of dense alumina alumina ceramic combination in total hip replacement

"well-fixed" seems to be a very often used term in medicine, in relation to prostheses. The whole sentence:

"Examination of human biopsies from well-fixed prostheses showed that alumina particles deposits increase with time with only a low-grade macrophagic reaction."

I thought it could refer to the "acceptability" of the prostheses by body, but I haven't found enough evidence to support this idea.
