This is from a patient report for an elderly woman who underwent TAVI for calcific aortic stenosis:

Under: l'échocardiographie du 19 Octobre'

DSAo = 21 mm et anneau aortique = 23 mm.

Then:

'Rétrécissement aortique moyennement serré évalué à environ 1 cm2 par l'équation de continuité pour un DSAo mesuré à 21 mm'

Something to do with 'surface aortique' or the subaortic diameter? I know 'Ao' is 'aortic'

I am concerned about the measurement here of 21 mm....I cannot find any evidence in relation to Sub aortic diameter, I am not questioning anybody's expertise here, merely my own findings...
