I need to translate this expression and my client does not like my translation, is there another way to say this please?

Asker: This is how I translated it Edward.........the modularity of the agents’ internal architecture supported by the concept of capabilities (so creating a direct relationship between the description of these capabilities and the functionalities/functions of different aircraft and ground systems). I might add that I was asked to revise a translation by Spanish writers and am not an expert in this kind of technology and did not think I would need to battle with such terms, needless to say I did not know what internal architecture referred too, and did not see the term when I accepted the job,
