: It's not so important, yet wouldn't it be 'srecan' in Bosnian? 'best wishes' could also be translated with 'sve najbolje'.

If Your Bosnian friend is Muslim, you should know that they do not celebrate Christmas. Then instead of "Merry Christmas" use "Happy New Year".
