I'm sure this is an easy question to answer, but I can't get at what's meant - can anyone help?
It's in a text about an Argentinian photographer talking about his work:
Con el tiempo me fui interesando cada vez más, comencé a experimentar con otros tipos de fotografía y otros deportes y estudiando mucho por mi cuenta. Mejorando con la práctica hasta que me dí cuenta que no quería hacer otra cosa y que no fuera esto.

What must be confusing is the *y*, but I think here it's just used to reinforce the idea that *there was no other thing [in the world] he [I] wanted to do except photography.*
