Curious, but... Well firstly, none of my dictionaries identify come to and gully as colloquial. You might go on and say Okay the formal one would be arrive, which is acceptable, but even if they do, there is nothing wrong with the suggestions I have provided.
For example, how can you decide that سه مایل جلوتر is more colloquial than سه مایل بعد?
Are you going to say that the word جلوتر is more colloquial than بعد?
I don't believe if you would go for that.

My personal advice is that there is no necessity to jump in with a hurried disagreement. Though your opinion is fully respected sir :)

Came to and gully are colloquial, making the whole text informal. All of the given equivalents are somehow formal and cannot be used in such context.
