Discussion

Adrian MM. (X) Sep 2, 2016:
@ Lara Unless I am mistaken, this is not an appeal, but a third-party action scenario.

There are 3 parties:
1. Autores as the Plaintiffs or Claimants (as victims of an accident?) 2. Réus as the Defendants (Employers of the victim?) who have joined in 3. the insurance company as the chamada (em garantia = in the UK) 'for a contribution and indemnity' of any court order made against the 2. the Defendants.

This kind of scene is set out in my Bar Civil Litigation Manual, but I don't expect anybody to be interested in investing about GBP 35 in such a tome.
Lara Barnett Sep 2, 2016:
Appeal Do you think it could be "appeal"? There is a latin connection in the root of these words. Is there any more context below your posted context?
Tania Pires (asker) Sep 1, 2016:
@ Ana Por enquanto, vou colocar "call", que me parece mais seguro.
Ana Vozone Sep 1, 2016:
@ Tânia Eu não sei... contudo, a terceira parece-me possível...
Só a Tânia poderá enquadrar no resto do texto.

@ Ana Está relacionado com um acidente e um pedido de indemnização.
Seria a 2ª ou a 3ª?
Ana Vozone Sep 1, 2016:

Proposed translations

3 hrs
Portuguese term (edited): chamada (Br: em garantia)
Selected

Third-party (fem: corporate) defendants (joined in by Def or Co-defendants added by Pl)

Note:

1. impleader is a US/Can term for third-party proceedings in the UK
2. in Argentina (Brazil?), llamado en garantia means an injured motorist can sue the defendant's insurance company direct for a payout.
3. a third party would be joined in by the Réus = defendants
4. a co-defendant in E&W would be 'added' by the Autores = Plaintiffs or Claimants
5. In E&W, corporate litigants are pluralised in the County & High Court (QBD). except the Chancery Division where partnerships-only are pluralised and companies are kept in the singular e.g. it or its.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I think this is exactly it in terms of explanation, but I still couldn't figure out what to call it without using too many words, so I went with 'call' anyway."

roll call

Na falta de mais contexto, foi o que me ocorreu.
O que aparece depois de chamada? Nomes de pessoas?
Note from asker:
Bom dia Ana. Aparece o nome oficial de uma companhia de seguros.
