"discreto" = normal, good, satisfactory, acceptable "affrontato" = makes me think of the two parts facing or "confronting" each other. So they're facing each other in a satisfactory way = well aligned Note: the answer above was given by a very knowledgeable/experienced doctor ... unfortunately she's not participating in KudoZ any longer.
