German term
Aufziehöffnungen
German to English
Other
This is part of a guided tour around an old town. Not sure if it's supposed to be written or spoken, but it's fairly informal in style.
I'm stumped! Can't find any matches for it on the web.
Any and all help appreciated.
TIA

winch opening

just a guess
this could be way off, but could they be referring to roller shutters that one must pull up to open windows/doors?
Good luck!

Pull up /draw up doors
I'm just guessing too but I cannot imagine that the Goths had pull up shutters, maybe on pulleys and chains.
