Bate bate?? Maybe just an erroneous double? But bate en compactador is also not found. Open to your thoughts.

THanks Elizabeth, that's something I don't have clear - can we infer that it swings both ways (excuse the pun of a pun ;/@) ); I guess it depends on what exactly "el compactador" is.

Could "bate bate" be a typo for "batiente"? That's my guess.
