French to English Medical Medical: Instruments

This is part of a service report concerning malfunctioning medical devices (usually at least tangentially related to imaging, but not always). These reports are always made up of fragments and are rarely grammatically correct. There are also often spelling errors and sometimes garbled text. In addition, since most of these reports are taken over the phone, there are occasionally situations where the person taking the report misheard and wrote down a homophone of what was actually said, so sometimes I have to read it out loud to figure it out.

I have looked at this term from a few different angles and can't quite figure it out. I'd love a fresh set of eyes!
