Is there another expression please? Searching on the Internet, all I can find is a literal translation.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

I think it will be clear from the context that they're talking about groups of artists rather than educational institutions, not least because you wouldn't normally get a school that teaches only landscape painting.
