This is a common term found in human resource. Some may translate it as orientasi, but I somehow feel it misses the mark. The definition given in the Wikipedia is as follows Onboarding, also known as organizational socialization, refers to the mechanism through which new employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to become effective organizational members and insiders.

Being HR personnel for 7 years, i would stick to 'orientasi' because recruitment-wise, onboarding is a term used to refer to the first day of new joiner, where all sessions will be arranged to make the new joiner familiar with system, people and culture of the organization.
