English to Russian Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)

8.5. Should any stipulation in this Contract prove to be invalid or qualify as invalid, it will not affect the Contract as a whole. The provisions of the Contract not affected by the invalidity will remain in force and will be enforceable, and the invalid provision must be repealed by such an effective rule applicable to the legal relation between the Parties which is the closest to the invalid provision, save if the Parties would not have concluded the contract at all without such invalid provision or rule qualified as invalid.
