Entiendo que es "chopped cucumber", como anota Patinba y tu marido.

Picar, implica que están hechos casi "picadillo", o sea, aunque sea "raw materials", no veo que pueda ser otra cosa. :-)

Marcelo, that was my concern, too. Also, if it's chopped, wouldn't it also be packaged, in which case is it still a raw material?
However, my Mexican husband immediately said chopped cucumber just now when I asked him. Go figure.
Marcelo González May 4, 2018:
Strange...only 6 G-hits for "picadura de pepino" ...if it´s what a ´food company´ decided to go with for (presumably) marketing purposes. Me pregunto si son más bien "rebanadas"...

1 medium cucumber, chopped ... 2K. Chicken Fiesta Salad Recipe - Salad greens, onions and tomatoes are topped with Mexican flavored ... I used one huge English cucumber, diced tomatoes with green pepper, celery and onions, diced red onion, no bell peppers, 2 ears fresh corn, cut from the cob, fresh cilantro

Thank you!
agree Marcelo González : Without any further context, 'chopped' is fine. My comment in Discussion was really about the source text. :-)

Thanks for the tip, Neil!
agree Robert Carter : Going by John's ref., perhaps this means "finely chopped"? I've never heard this word used myself, people would normally say "pepino picado".

agree Marcela Trezza : Never heard "picadura de pepino", it must be a regional way of saying "pepino picado"....
