Catalan term

Bossa tipus

Catalan to English Science Mathematics & Statistics Waste management
From the context, the term obviously refers to the overall mix of waste (i.e. the relative shares of the different fractions of waste out of the total, both in terms of the waste generated and collected) and not to any kind of bag but I was wondering if anyone had come across a better (or more official) way of saying it in English.

Examples:
"Composició bossa tipus a 2006 (títol d'un gràfic)"
"El primer pas per obtenir la bossa tipus de generació de Catalunya ha estat calcular la bossa tipus de cadascun dels municipis"
"... per a fraccions que estan incrementant la seva presència en la bossa tipus"

Thanks!

I think 'bossa' is used to refer to the different kinds of rubbish (escombraries, brossa, residus, etc.) as a whole.

Garbage, trash, rubbish, or refuse is waste material that is discarded by humans, usually due to a perceived lack of utility. The term generally does not encompass bodily waste products, purely liquid or gaseous wastes, nor toxic waste products. Garbage is commonly sorted and classified into kinds of material suitable for specific kinds of disposal.

This is a more formal word for rubbish, garbage and trash. The pronunciation is /ˈrefjuːs/

Tracy, glad to have helped. Thanks for the points!
Note from asker:
Yes, I think it refers to all the rubbish people (and companies) dispose of, though I need an official-sounding term to describe it. Perhaps your suggestion of refuse is the most suitable in British English... Thanks!
Peer comment(s):

agree Adrian MM. : whilst preferring to dance the 'Bossa Nova', I wonder if this is in fact a ref. to the 'standard binned volume of refuse'.// Commiserations on the cold! Better move to a warmer, clime, ha, ha! (Very cold in Madrid in the winter, too).

I've got a bad cold and don't feel up to any kind of dancing at the moment! You're right, a translation of the translation would be 'everything that's thrown away'. I suppose they use 'bossa' as they translate 'waste' as 'residues'. Thank you, Adrian :-)
