The context seems to suggest that this is a contrastive structure. He figuratively "flies toward her" and she "flies away from him". However, the suggestion seems to be that her getting away from him would be much faster than his approach. Seems almost to be a prey/predator comparison.

I think that it is saying someting in a really kind of confrontational way.
