It occurs at the beginning of diastole after S2 and is lower in pitch than S1 or S2 as it is not of valvular origin.

Heart clicks are short, high-pitched sounds that can be appreciated with modern non-invasive imaging techniques.

The pericardial friction rub can be heard in pericarditis, an inflammation of the pericardium, the sac surrounding the heart. This is a characteristic scratching, creaking, high-pitched sound emanating from the rubbing of both layers of inflamed pericardium.

agree  Muriel Vasconcellos: You are right. I questioned this, but I found multiple examples of "tono" translated as 'pitch' in the context of heart sounds. Of course, 'pitch' and 'tone' in English are entirely different when it comes to voice sounds.

Explanation:
Now, buen tono, as already said, seems to refer to "no pitch alterations". And yet, this is very unusual in English reports. The best equivalent and usual expression to "buen tono e intensidad" is probably "heart sounds clear and strong", where "clear" conveys the same idea of "buen tono". A veces se expresa en castellano como tonos netos / (claros), which might be probably more "clear" to understand.

Por ejemplo, en el taponamiento cardíaco se describe una "ausencia de clear heart sounds", describiéndose en castellano ruidos (tonos) apagados.

I believe thus that tonos netos, tonos "claros", or buen tono (as in ruidos cardíacos con buen tono e intensidad) can be safely translated as clear heart sounds.

Creo que ésta es una buena descripción del contraste en castellano entre ruidos apagados o con buen tono y el motivo por el que tono e intensidad suele ir ligado (también en inglés; "clear and strong").
