It appears in the audited financial statements of a government agency. The paragraph in question reads:
"The allowance for uncollectible accounts is an amount that management believes will be adequate to absorb possible losses on existing receivables, excluding ***debt service rentals*** and maintenance charges that may become uncollectible based on evaluations of the collectability of each balance."
Can someone explain to me what is a debt service rental? Right now I have the very literal translation of "Alquiler del servicio de la deuda", but I am trying to find out what that particular term means.
