Spanish term
posible ambliopía previa

Medical
Medical (general)
ophthalmology
Not sure about previa in "posible ambliopía previa" because it doesn't make sense in this context. Am I missing something?
TIA,
Juliette

possible previous ambliopia
= The patient may have had previous treatment for a "lazy eye" (ambliopia), which is quite common in young children, or used to be when I was a kid.
I don't know enough about ophthalmology to decide whether it makes sense or not, but that appears to be what it says.

So, the sentence would be something like this: "advirtiendo de una posible ambliopía previa del OD" -> "signalling/evidencing possible previous right eye amblyopia"...

Well, the problem I have is that I cannot find "previous/prior amblyopia" on any En site
however, it can develop in early childhood, so maybe they are referring to this

Lazy eye (amblyopia) is reduced vision in one eye caused by abnormal visual development early in life. The weaker — or lazy — eye often wanders inward or outward. Amblyopia generally develops from birth up to age 7 years. It is the leading cause of decreased vision among children.
