German term

Lösungen mit Hand und Fuß

German to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations Idioms
Context:

"Es können nur in dieser Konstellation spezielle systematische Akustik-Lösungen mit Hand und Fuß effizient und in höchster Qualität realisiert werden."

Obviously, "sound", as suggested previously (https://www.proz.com/kudoz/german-to-english/advertising-pub... is a bit problematic here, given that the context is acoustic solutions, and then there are so many adjectives.

* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Website
* Target audience: Technical
* Country and dialect (source): German
* Country and dialect (target): British English

Discussion

David Williams (asker) Mar 8, 2020:
Many thanks for all the suggestions and discussion das hat wirklich Hand und Fuß! :-)
philgoddard Mar 8, 2020:
Good for you, writeaway! You shouldn't get points for copying others' answers.
I'm not familiar with this phrase, and no one has given any references.
Chris Pr Mar 8, 2020:
Solid was already entered after only 17 minutes....
But thanks for agreeing anyway..!
writeaway Mar 7, 2020:
@Ramey No I won't post it. I was suggested by Stephen Sadie on the previous question, so it's his idea, not mine.I just feel it would work here
Ramey Rieger (X) Mar 7, 2020:
Hi writeaway solid was one of my first thoughts as well. Post it!
writeaway Mar 7, 2020:
In the ref you posted solid could work in your context, imo

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Many thanks! Obviously not the only right answer, but I think this works best in this context."

..a fitting synonym for " sound", minus the acoustic connotation...as in "solid and reliable"...

30 mins

(acoustic) solutions that have shown their mettle

This sentence is mildly awkward structurally in that Hand und Fuß could also be seen as qualifying the verb instead of the noun, although that seems unlikely in this case.
Note from asker:
Yes, good point! Thanks for pointing that out.
Confirmation: Hand und Fuß bezieht sich hier auf die Lösungen.

tried and tested

Mature might also be okay.

Both of these suggestions would only work if you know more about the acoustic solution. It's not possible to tell from the sample whether or not these are bespoke solutions, in which case these ideas wouldn't work, or existing solutions that have already been used successfully. The same is possibly true for Michael Martin's suggestion.

watertight solutions

Just another suggestion

9 hrs

serious solutions (can be taken seriously)

Drawing on the 'only' in your sentence, I come to 'serious', or as Writeaway suggested 'solid', both of which adapt well to the exclusiveness in the source text.
