L'hypoxémie est une mesure permettant d'estimer la gravité de l'état d'un patient. Elle définit une insuffisance respiratoire ; il existe également une hypoxémie dans les maladies cardiaques avancées. Elle a pour conséquence une hypoxie au niveau des tissus des organes.
