FIG. 1 shows the outer appearance of an endoscope to which the present invention can be applied. The distal end portion 14 is coupled to a flexible tube 10 communicating with a manipulating part 8 through a bendable section or an insertion section 12. The light window of a light guide 16 and the observation window of an observation optical system 18 are disposed at the distal end portion 14. These components 8 to 18 are of conventional construction. The portion 14 also includes an infrared ray irradiator 20 and a temperature sensor 22. The portion 14 of such a configuration may be inserted into parts such as a uterus with cancer cells.

FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of the endoscope shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows the end face of the distal end portion 14 shown in FIG. 1. As seen from FIG. 3, the light window 16 and the observing window 18 are disposed at the distal end portion 14. As shown in FIG. 2, the light window 16 communicates with a connector 28 through an optical fiber 24 disposed inside the insertion section 12 and a universal cord 26.

Jak działa endoskop
Endoskop to rodzaj bardzo wąskiej i długiej sondy przekazującej obraz do monitora. Jest on używany głównie w medycynie do oglądania narządów wewnętrznych. Endoskop przeznaczony do zastosowań domowych ma dużo prostszą konstrukcję niż jego medyczny odpowiednik.
