German term
Teemischdose

I'm translating a product list into UK English, this is on it... I can't really find anything. It's all products for pharma labs for product formulation
....tea mixing tin or tea mixer? but I'm not sure about tea, if there's another meaning there.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.
Proposed translations
(powder) mixer // blender
There's also "Pulvermischdose" in the catalogue and it's a different product. Also those look like really big pieces of equipment, this little guy is just 3.5 litres. |

Chris Pr
: Substitute 'powder' for 'tea' and we have the first correct use of mixer/blender...An obscure source term anyway that has little English equivalence...

It is referring to tea. These are mixtures of medicinal herbs, which can be taken in the form of a tea and are sold by a chemist.
Tea mixing tin/can doesn't seem to exist with regards chemists here.
Maybe the reason the term is difficult to find in English is because herbal medicine does not have the same standing in other countries as it does in Germany, Switzerland.... Our chemists sell pharmaceutical medicines and do not make up tea mixes... for people.

Tin with tea mixture in it.
Tin with mixture of medicinal herbs in it. These are ingested as a tea. (Commonly found in German chemists.)
