This term appears in a list of types of stations, i.e. some are on viaducts, and others are in this "conventional well format". Just wondering if there is a specific term in English that refers to a subway station in the format of a well of some kind or other, other than just saying an underground station. Many thanks in advance.

I've found these examples.

From Can Tries/Gornal to Zona Universitària the stations will have the usual L9 format, with a well structure and a 12-metre diameter tunnel through which the trains run on two levels, with a separation between tracks.

Thirty of 52 stations will be excavated, ¡ndependently of the tunnel (in a well structure up to 70m-deep), with superimposed platforms constructed inside them. There is also a small stretch of 3.9km which has been constructed on a viaduct with open air stations.
Everything on Une 9/10 is innovative, from the construction of the tunnel on two levels and the well-shaped stations installed with large-capacity elevators for access, to the automatic driverless trains and the platforms
with screen doors.
