English term

non-terminal cleavage

English to German Science Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng Endoproteinasen
The addition of such peptides to beer showed an increase in body but also astringency. Additional experiments adding endoproteinases (non-terminal cleavage) as well as peptidases (terminal cleavage, microbial) during mashing, showed that an improvement in body is possible without increasing astringency when both peptidases were added.

The best I could find is Abspaltung der Enden/ohne Abspalrung der Enden ... aber welcher Enden?

Murad this is a single expression, and up to 8 words are allowed.
Edith Kelly (asker) Oct 28, 2020:
Danke nochmals das ist sicherlich das Beste. Als Antwort eingeben?
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Oct 28, 2020:
Edith Kelly (asker) Oct 28, 2020:
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Oct 28, 2020:
Proteinasen are enzymes that cleave proteins. This might refer to exo- and endoproteinasen that cleave the protein either at the end (terminal) or in the middle (non-terminal).
Maybe it helps if you google "Proteinase", "Endoproteinase" and "Exoproteinase" and "N-terminal" and "C-terminal".

Liz I really to not know what they mean. Client is very very helpful but this is beyond them as it would query their own journalists
liz askew Oct 27, 2020:
Frankly, I would speak to the client - this is not clear at all.

Liz join the club .. I cannot find it either. Who knows what they want to say. And no, I have not found anything for terminal cleavage, just as a wrote, Abspaltung der Enden - but does this make sense?
liz askew Oct 27, 2020:
Hello,
are you sure it is "non-terminal cleavage, as I am unable to find this term on the internet.

Have you already found an equivalent in German for "terminal cleavage" - I am unable to find this either.
