This is from an ITT.
I've seen "desirable" for "valorable" elsewhere on Kudoz. However, as you can see they already use "deseable". And "measurable" (also a Kudoz answer) wouldn't fit here.
Would be interested in knowing how Spanish speakers understand the word, please!
Los distintos colores empleados en la tabla tienen un significado específico:
- Verde: el requisito es valorable
- Rojo: el requisito es obligatorio
- Negro: el requisito es deseable

I’ve seen preferred used in English, even though it is not a direct translation of valorable. Example below:

Desired skills, which means "It would be cool if you knew how to do this."

I.e. not obligatory, but will be appreciated. I've seen it used this way in job recruitment texts and things like "French and German obligatory, other languages appreciated."

Something along the lines of "might/could be considered" is what it means, but the -able words (appreciable/considerable) don't really work...
