Y sí, en mi opinión, "rearview (mirror)" sería un espejo retrovisor en este caso.

Ya sea que lo cuelgues en tu cuello o en tu (espejo) retrovisor, puedes llevar

"rearview" se utiliza con o sin la palabra "mirror".

Colgada al cuello o de tu espejo retrovisor, puedes llevar tu....

Creo que no es necesario incluir el "ya sea" en castellano, está implícito.
Es obvio que se trata de algo pequeño, o no podría colgarse del espejo.
