This is a safety booklet for a power station.
Il est interdit :
De pénétrer dans une zone de tirs gammagraphiques, matérialisée par un balisage rouge et blanc normalisé par des tri-secteurs,
My natural thought for the end is "standardised by sorting sectors", but it doesn't sound right, and I wondered if anyone has an insight.
thanks

ionizing radiation hazard symbol
... or just radiation warning symbol
" and shows the radiation symbol in white on a red banner.

Note from asker:
Thanks, it's obvious now you point it out! I might have been thrown because elsewhere in the text there is a section on the Sorting department. |
To Johannes, you're right, the radiation hazard symbol is usually yellow and black, but on an accompanying picture in the text, it does show a red and white version of the symbol which must be used at this site, and which I hadn't noticed before posting the question. |
Here is a link to a screenshot of the sign which accompanies the text https://www.dropbox.com/s/tparb142iifo482/tri secteurs.JPG? |

French term (edited):
balisage rouge et blanc normalisé par des tri-secteurs
tri-sector-gamma radiation zone ... standardised red and white barricade tape (ou similar)
I understand that the area is partitioned into 3 sectors of different gamma radiation intensity. All 3 zones are seperated from each other and appropriately marked.
One example see:
Fig. 2: Markings of different zones around a base transceiver antenna
https://www.electronicsforu.com/technology-trends/reduce-mob...
Other Example
radiation caution hazard nuclear symbol - Image ID: J51TNN
https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-radiation-caution-hazard-n...
Third example:
33 Metre Barrier Warning Tape Red/White Warning Tape Self-Adhesive
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/33-Metre-Barrier-Warning-White-Se...
Barricade tape is brightly colored tape (often incorporating a two-tone pattern of alternating yellow-black or red-white stripes or the words "Caution" or "Danger" in prominent lettering) that is used to warn or catch the attention of passersby of an area or situation containing a possible hazard. It acts as a minor impediment to prevent accidental entrance to that area or situation and as a result enhances general safety. Barricade tape is also known as construction tape or barrier tape or in reference to the safety hazard involved as caution tape, warning tape, danger tape or hazard tape. When used by a police force, the tape is named police tape.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barricade_tape
I assume the latter examples
Proposal for context:
To enter a tri-sector-gamma radiation zone, marked with standardised red and white barricade tape

: Not relevant to the context given, and none of your copious refs. actually support your suggestion.

That’s why I did not propose these symbols, but looked for red and white.
