Samuël Buysschaert Sep 23, 2021:
Agree with what have been said,
I'd say also:
Airborne Navigator and Radar Operator

Example: 2004-2011 in the French Navy,
Marine nationale - Sous Officier Détecteur Navigateur Aérien // Airborne Navigator and Radar Operator

Marco Solinas Sep 22, 2021:
Détecteur I am assuming that "Décteteur" appears in the heading of the job description.
SafeTex Sep 22, 2021:
@ Sandra Shouldn't the question be "radariste navigateur aérien" as I can't find "détecteur navigateur aérien" in the sample text?
Marco Solinas Sep 22, 2021:
To Asker Something along the lines of "radar operator - air navigator" might do it. Termium gives "air navigator" for "navigateur aérien" (see https://www.btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-eng.html?l... ). Your source text seems to use "détecteur navigateur aérien" and "radariste navigateur aérien" interchangeably.
This site also uses "détecteur" and "radariste" interchangeably: https://www.orientation.com/metiers/personnel-navigant-tacti...

Flight Navigator and Identifier

"...the navigator's position in commercial aviation (but ***not necessarily military aviation***) became redundant."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_navigation#Flight_navigato...

Otherwise, "détecter" often translates as "identify" < Identifier

I'm sure the Flight Navigator part is right, I'm less sure about "Identifier", which is a bit of an improvisation, but certainly fits the job description.
