Does anyone know what 'métalloverrières' refers to? Does it just mean metal and glass panels?
L’insertion de façades métalloverrières fait à la fois entrer la lumière dans le bâti et redéfinit l’écriture de l’édifice tout en conservant son caractère industriel initial.
Thanks.

Impossible to be sure without seeing exactly what is involved; 'verrière' can be little more than a skylight, but as they specifically mention 'façades', I don't think it can be that; they might even mean those 'greenhouse' style protruding structures often seen punctuating the façades of industrial buildings, but it's impossible to be sure.
As to the term to use for 'façades' here, I'm afraid it's really guesswork as to precisely what they mean; one might use 'Mary's suggestion of 'façades', but that might suggest that the entire wall is glazed, whereas they talke about 'insertion', rather suggesting it is only occasional.

metalwork
The insertion/inclusion of metalwork facades allows both light to enter the building and (at the same time) also redefines the building's signature mark/ footprint, without losing sight of its original industrial function.

: That appears to suggest they are solid metal, which wouldn't let much light in!

No, metal framed obviously; ' metal work 'can refer to trims and edging, etc.

: The term here is specifically as distinct from the fashionable 'all-glass' façades / What picture / building? And no, they don't — that's the whole point of the distinction being made here.

I looked at the picture of the building and it looks like a glass façade, and all glass façades have a metal frame don't they?
