French term

évacuation

French to English Bus/Financial Construction / Civil Engineering plumbing
From an invoice detailing maintenance work provided.
Target audience is US.

Dépose du meuble vasque complet, évacuation et mise en décharge.

This is what I have so far:
Removal of entire vanity, drain pipe? and landfill disposal.

Is "'évacuation" either "drain pipe" or "drainage system"? Finding a lot of references for "tuyau d'évacuation" but not as much for the word by itself. Perhaps that's what they mean
here, but they just left off "tuyau"?

Drain… EN “drain” typically can mean “drainpipe”

"Dépose du meuble vasque complet, évacuation et mise en décharge."

Basically, "dépose" is whatever you want to call the opposite of fitting (de-installation, dismantling?), "évacuation" is removal, and "mise en décharge" means taking the item to a "garbage dump" or "landfull site" (in US English).

Yes, Scott, but seemingly not the washbasin itself, on a literal reading of the text, just the related furniture item, see here for images for "meuble vasque":

Note from asker:
Thanks a lot, Conor. This makes sense.... de-installing, removing, and taking it to the dump/landfill. So, just to clarify, here, "évacuation" would mean actually removing all of the hardware from the person's house?
Thanks, Conor!
Many thanks to you, Conor and to everyone.
Peer comment(s):

agree Yelena Perel : yes, it is neither "drain pipe" nor "drainage system": otherwise it couldn't be included in the list of maintenance work ("..., ... et ..."). évacuation could also mean "draining off", but I agree with Conor that here it means removal

agree Daryo : or any other synonym along the lines of "taking this builder's rubbish off site / out of the property"
