In relay testing, pre-fault is the length of time you program your test set to output normal ("pre-fault") conditions of voltage & current.

Set the prefault value and prefault chanel and then press the Prefault button.

This is part of the context but i found Preguasto in italian, i am not sure if it is correct here.
