Repetition issue - To avoid the repetition issue, involving "respirare" you could use one of various options, including "inhaling the day to day life...." or something
The use of this target phrase, and then finding such a way round the repetition, is feasible in my opinion as it is a punchy phrase that is well suited to the context. So, perhaps:
"Living and berating fabrics" means to inhale the day to day world/life of this craft/induustry........ etc ... etc ...because, we will not stop living and breathing [our] fabrics."
"Even after years of going to fashion shows, meeting new designers and generally LIVING AND BREATHING fashion 24/7, I have to admit that it little mind-blowing to be in one room with all these fashion greats....."
"It isn’t just a hobby or a job to me it is a part of who I am. I LIVE AND BREATHE fashion, even my downtime is often spent watching fashion documentaries and catching up on the new trends for next season. "

: The term is repeated, and you can't do that in English. But this is a good idea - see my suggestion for the whole thing.

I would put "inhaling the daily life" or something - there are ways round it, but the point is this provides a punch for the beginning of the sentence, which is needed to match the source "punch" of "vivere".
