fat stranding Explanation: Ik ben een geneeskundestudent, mijn professor radiologie heeft me deze vertaling gegeven. Vergrijzing slaat inderdaad op het aspect van vet op beeldvorming. Bij inflammatoire processen zal het vet meer vocht bevatten en meer stralen doorlaten, waardoor het grijzer wordt (ipv de witte kleur). De Engelse term hiervoor is "fat stranding". "Fat stranding is a sign that is seen on CT.
