German term

Ausnahmefall

German to English Art/Literary Military / Defense
Context: German WWII document, referencing another document.

Subject: troop preparation.

Translated sentence where term appears: “(See Ausnahmefall - xxxxx, paragraph 15).”

I am thinking (See excerpt from xxxxx, paragraph 15).

Thoughts?

Discussion

Steffen Walter May 11, 2022:
Excerpt ... ... would be "Auszug". "Ausnahmefall" could simply be "exception", depending on your further (German) context, which you haven't provided (yet).
Ramey Rieger (X) May 11, 2022:
exemption, special case, anomaly, privilege....options, options, options. Context is everything.
philgoddard May 11, 2022:
I agree We need several sentences of German, please.
It doesn't mean "excerpt".
Brianna Finley (X) May 11, 2022:
This is a very confusing question indeed. What's the context and what exactly are you thinking?

thank you for the feedback!
agree Andrew Bramhall : Cant't mean ' exceptionally' as a case number follows, and such a number couldn't follow an adverb, Adrian!
