Sociedades civiles y mercantiles This exists in Spain, which Rebecca Jower renders as "Civil-Code entities and entities governed by the Commercial Code and/or specific business legislation." I would probably put this in a comment for clarification, and try to keep the translation short and simple. Perhaps "commercial and non-commercial entities" could work also?

Thanks, Seth. I'll work that one - perhaps a macro- vs. micro-economic term - for the 'comerciales' word into a glossary entry.
agree AllegroTrans : I think you should omit "professional" e.g. clubs and associations can form Sociedades Civiles as well as professional people
