Spanish term

sida paracardíaca

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Cardiology
Hope everyone is doing well today. I can't find the term "sida" anywhere and was wondering if someone knew.
Context:
INFORME RADIOLÓGICO
TC TORACOABDOMINOPÉLVICO
[...]

Thanks in advance!

Discussion

Erzsébet Czopyk Oct 26, 2022:
Thank you, Neil. It was exactly what I felt.
Toni Castano Oct 25, 2022:
@Kathryn As always, a pleasure exchanging ideas with you.
Yes, do check your query with your client (if this is possible). And do not discard other possibities (see below for instance what Liz has proposed).
The only thing I am clear about is that your text is faulty. Apart from that, practically everything is possible. Handle it with care (and good luck)!
S. Kathryn Jiménez Boyd (asker) Oct 25, 2022:
Thank you Toni This is exactly what I was thinking, that maybe the dictation recording cut out or typing got lazy/weird on the word "densidad", because really the only thing that makes sense would be a right paracardiac opacity/radiodensity/haziness/consolidation. Thank you!
Toni Castano Oct 25, 2022:
Ms Czopyk I´ve never expressed any "personal judgedment" nor "judged" anyone here. What is in your mind, what you consider a "judg(e)ment", is just a figment of your imagination. I´m just here to help Kathryn the best I can, not to argue with you.
Ah, "Slow down, you MOVE too fast", better known as "Feelin´Groovy" is well worth listening to (a very nice song, by the way).
Good-bye forever, Ms Czopyk.
Erzsébet Czopyk Oct 25, 2022:
Mr Castano I appreciate your reaction but please, be so kind to refrain from any personal judgment as we never met before. Do not judge a book by its cover. Thank you.
Toni Castano Oct 25, 2022:
@Erzsébet Slow down, you "think" too fast :-) What I suggested is just a possibility, which Kathryn should validate now, either by means of other opinions or by asking her client (the way I would go, undoubtedly).
If this is really a typo, it is, as I suggested before, a "huge" one. I´m not sure if I´m right, so it´s time to wait and see what Kathryn and others have to say on this query.

considering the fact that doctors dictate or record the conclusions and sometimes the personnel is not adequately trained. A few weeks ago I read my own papers where she typed nephroplexia instead of nephropexia (she simply did not know what it is, therefore typed the most familiar expression to her ears)
Erzsébet Czopyk Oct 25, 2022:
same conslusion After doing some research, I completely agree, it shall be typo and what Mr Castano says, absolutely likely.
Toni Castano Oct 25, 2022:
@Kathryn Have you considered the possibility of a (huge) typo in this case? I cannot find any explanation for the use of "sida" in this case (which means actually nothing apart from the well-known disease SIDA, AIDS, as you surely know).
I was thinking along the lines of "con alguna DENSIDAD paracardíaca derecha", which surely does make sense, but "densidad" is too far away from your source term "sida". I don´t know, this is very rare, wait for other opinions.

En la radiografía AP de tórax, se puede apreciar un aumento de densidad paracardiaca derecha, así como pérdida de volumen, visible en radiografía de tórax lateral; aunque, en ocasiones, es inespecífica.
