Isabelle How do you know it doesn't mean compromise? I think raptisi's answer may be wholly or partially correct. V/V could be 5/5, since there is apparently nothing wrong with the patient's muscles.

I found this, not sure what it means Las mas conocidas [son] BMRC (British medical research council motor grading scale) o escalas de las “M”, Levett, Daniels, Oxford y Kendall.

I think BMRC is a mistake - it's called the MRC.
