Discussion

Brent Sørensen Dec 6, 2022:
I think both kwatkins and Kirsty Low gave good suggestions

However, you may wish to change “innovative exhibitors” so that it has a structure similar to the other two items in the list:

-exhibitors leading the way in innovation (or something with a similar structure)
-visitors wanting to check out the latest trends | industry professionals looking to identify the latest trends
-end consumers willing to invest

trend watchers

Trade fair visitors are therefore mainly retailers, fashion shop owners, and buyers from large department stores. But other fashion professionals such as trend watchers, and journalists also attend, as well as professionals from the wider retail industry.

If you choose this one, you should probably add some sort of adjective in front:

innovative exhibitors, savvy trend watchers, and investment-orientated end consumers

neutral Cilian O'Tuama : I too agree, but qualified with savvy/professional... Speaking of professional: professionals (for the most part) translate into their native language. Not the case here.5000 Qs!

visitors wanting to check out the latest trends

Forschen in the sense of finding out information about a product in order to make an informed purchase
Peer comment(s):

agree Adrian MM. : *trade visitors* > the question ought to have included 'Fachbesucher', the term used in the first para. and that ought to send the answer in a different direction https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fachbesucher

neutral Cilian O'Tuama : It's perfectly fine to ask for an occasional translation into a language that's not your native tongue. But 5000!? So much for professional guidelines and behaviour!

industry professionals looking to identify the latest trends

This would be my interpretation, but would need more context to know for sure.

neutral Cilian O'Tuama : but has disadvantage of being quite long. And: professionals (for the most part) translate into their native language. Not the case here - a mere 5000 Qs in the wrong direction.

agree Cillie Swart : seems plausible, thanks for sharing
