Spanish term

FIB

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this term is already in English or what, but I'm having trouble finding it. This is on an economic memorandum for a clinical trial. Context:
It is in column headings, with euro amounts in the column under it:
Coste Indirecto por prueba (15% FIB)
Coste Indirecto por paciente (15% FIB)
Coste Indirecto del Estudio (15% FIB)

Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

@James I agree with you.

I've found a downloadable Excel document in Spanish and English, and 'FIB' has been left the same. The document also refers to 'la Fundación'.
James A. Walsh Dec 6, 2022:
Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica? Maybe it stands for this since clinical trials are involved. So they might be saying that a FIB is paying 15% of the costs?
S. Kathryn Jiménez Boyd (asker) Dec 6, 2022:
Thanks Phil Yes, thanks Phil, I would translate it financial but this is the client's preferred term and it's in their glossary.
philgoddard Dec 6, 2022:
Financial Not economic.

Biomedical Research Foundation

Very little to go on here, but it could be the case as your post mentions clinical trials.
I'm not suggesting "BRF" as an equivalent English abbreviation, as I've found at least 3 organisations called "Biomedical Research Foundation (BRF)" in the US, Bangladesh and Greece, so I guess you'll have to leave the Spanish abbreviation as is and add a footnote or similar...

agree philgoddard : This is a reasonable guess, but you should leave it in Spanish.

Ha! Nah... I'm sure they could do some stellar biomedical research at the FIB though :)
