Any ideas on what exactly "Discusión del Título" refers to?
This is included in the list of subjects in a transcript for a "Licenciatura en Pedagogía" from a university in Cuba, issued in 2006. Grade achieved is "B" (which I believe stands for "Bueno"). This is listed after "Prácticas de la especialidad" and before "Examen final integral".
I believe it may be referring to a discussion/defence of a student's experience/fieldwork/thesis, etc., before a jury or panel.

Methinks is figuratively extrapolated form defending a baseball and pelota ( approx. the game of 'Fives' in E&W, courtesy of ProZ translator: Charles Davis, wherever he is). .
Defense is of course the US AmE spelling, but defending or disputation of the degree qualification would dodge the American ('no queremos los amos') spelling 'problem'.
And, yes, I do know the island + la Isla de la Juventud.
