I just thought about 弦線 which usually follow the edge/adjacent sections in concentric loops, so probably better to say: the 7 parallel lines are engraved around the neck/shoulder area. A picture will show more details but not sure if it can be posted here.

I would like to add that "弦纹" refers to the horizontal bands that go around the vase, the literal translation "bowstring pattern" can also be found in official english texts on the webpage of the palace museum. (Link is attached)
So I would probably emphasise on the direction of the decorative loops, and put it like this: the vase is engraved with 7 horizontal bands on the neck/shoulder
Otherwise it can be directly translated into: a vase with engraved bowstring patterns
