Hi! Could this mean "8 times" "8-fold" ? I'm a bit confused... Thanks!!

PLO is poly-L-ornithine used to coat cell walls.
Before each dilution (8 in total), the cell wall is coaterd with PLO (upper case).
Each dilution is read and a curve is obtained for titration purposes.
Standard plates with 96 wells are used.
