English Science Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
Would you please clarify the meaning of "O,O-" and "S-" and "-1H-"?
Please see text below

Phosphorodithioic acid, mixed O,O-bis(2-ethylhexyl and iso-Bu and iso-Pr) S-[3a,4,5,6,7,7a-hexahydro-4,7-methano-1H-inden-5(or 6)-yl] esters

Many thanks!

Yes I also suggest asking one term at a time.

Apologies!

1.4 Glossary form must be maintained.
Question marks, quote marks, unnecessary capitalization and anything else that would not be found in a dictionary, should not be entered.

2.1 One term is allowed per question
Including multiple terms for translation in a single KudoZ posting interferes with the process of generating glossary entries.

O = ortho; S- = S enantiomer, ("Sinister" → Latin= "left" (direction of rotation of light at a given stereocentre); 1H is the position of the H atom on carbon atom number 1.

Good luck!

O,O- and S- are locants / 1H refers to indicated hydrogen

O,O- and S- are locants.
These locants designate the sulfur and oxygen atoms to which the ester groups are linked in phosphorodithioic acid.

1H refers to indicated hydrogen.

disagree Neil Ashby : Locants? Locants are numbers or Greek letters (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locant). S marks a chiral centre and its direction of rotation (definitely not a locant). What is the "indicated hydrogen" - that doesn't mean anything at all.

There are many types of locants (https://iupac.qmul.ac.uk/BlueBook/P1.html#1403) - For O,O- and S-, see https://www.acdlabs.com/iupac/nomenclature/93/r93_74.htm (R-0.1.6.2) + Kursiv gesetzte lateinische Großbuchstaben - For 1H, see IUPAC def. in response.
