Le mot "exploit" figurait dans l'ancien Code de procédure civile. Il parait avoir été abandonné pour l'expression "acte d'huissier". On trouve le mot "exploit" dans les textes qui sont antérieurs en date à la promulgation du code de procédure civile, et notamment dans les Lois et règlements portant statut deshuissiers.
